Hello!

A little about me: My wonderful husband and I live in the Inner West of Sydney where we are church planting and settling into our first year of marriage. I am very easily excited and often don't understand how others are not excited for free icecream, exploring a new cafe or simply enjoying a frozen coke on a hot day. I absolutely love baking but am still learning how to actually cook (thank you Donna Hay!). Random fact, my dad is Maltese, my mum is Australian and I speak Russian. 

A little about this blog: Well, the name of this blog has largely come about through a mashup of two of my husbands favourite nicknames for me! 'Village Princess' and 'Bird and Bear'... I'm sure in time these will be explained! It has been born through my love of people, pretty things and really finding joy in the small things of life that we often overlook. 

Please do join me as I get creative, challenge myself with unchartered waters in the kitchen, share stories from some wonderful people, explore parts of this world and find encouragement through our Creator.
